JFK Wrestling Team

The JFK wrestling team took 5th place in overall in Miami-Dade County.

JFK - Science Fair Awards

The Following Awards were given:

Superior: Suzanne Wong, Katrina Montane, Abigail Ayers, Kailani Montane, Catherine Barker

Excellent: Sebastian Sarmiento, Andre Escobar, Analis Lawrence, Da'Marco Milton, Andrew Sanzetenea, Allison Lawrence, Megan Ely, Jackie Castro

Honorable Mention: Stefan Pirone, Isaac Smith

1st Place Overall in the Regional Science Fair went to Abigail Ayers winning a $200 cash award.

Abigail was also sent as a finalist to the State Science Fair in Lakeland, Florida. Her project compete with nearly 900 projects from all over the state. She proudly place 3rd in the State Science Fair for her engineering project.

JFK Wrestling Team

The JFK Wrestling team placed 3rd at the Dade County Youth Fair tournament on Saturday, 1/31.

The team was led by Macendy Volmar and Ritchie Guillaume who both had first place finishes in their 75 lb. and 95 lb. weight classes. Ritchie also finished the weekend with a perfect 6-0 record while pinning all of his opponents.

Also placing at the tournament were Keiondre Wedderburn, who finished 2nd in the 120 lb. weight class and Johntaye Estiverne who finished 3rd in the 135 lb weight class.

On Friday, the team had a victory over Highland Oaks Middle while losing to Allapattah Middle.
